Joe, I just wanted to say what a pleasure it was doing business with you. The "old" Mexican Telecaster is just fantastic and was exactly as you described it. I wanted a player, not a museum piece and you came through with flying colors. You are a great guy running a great no-bull business and I (and hopefully others) can appreciate being treated like a person, not just a buyer.
You were genuinely concerned that I got what I asked for, and these days it seems everyone wants either something for nothing or to sell and run. Plus you came to Raleigh to see me thru the deal personally!!! What a great service. I'd like to tell you about my experience with Wilson Vintage Guitars and Joe, in particular, because there may be someone else like me, who is unsure of where to take a family member when they need some T.L.C.
I have a 1973 Gibson Les Paul Deluxe that I bought when I was a teenager in 1975. I'm 49 years young now.
I love that guitar and it had been about 20 years since I had taken it to anyone for maintenance. It just didn't sound like it used to and I didn't know who to trust. Well, when I heard about Joe I gave him a call and went to see him.
I was impressed with, not only his knowledge and love of guitars, but his interest in what I wanted out of this instrument.
He took the time to talk to me and let me know all of my options. Long story short: My Les Paul has never sounded or looked better. It really rings like a bell.
Joe Wilson loves what he does best, and that's working with guitars and getting a kick out of seeing the smile on your face when he lets you play her after he's done his magic.
